The Chateau de Parthey, classified as a historical monument [MH], is a private home in the French countryside of the Burgundy region. The Chateau has been in the Valdahon-Tarragon family since the 16th century and offers a unique cultural experience.
From June to mid-October, we welcome a maximum of 6-8 people at a time for plein air painting, with or without professional instructors. Sabbatical sojourns and long-term stays are possible. A writers' retreat is available for creative, peaceful time.
For travelers who love exploring history and the food and wine of Jura and Burgundy, we offer to organize your stay to provide lasting memories of cultural immersion in the heart of Burgundy.

The Winter Living room
We want to share our historical house, share the beauty and the treasures of the region. We welcome you as friends.
All income goes to further restoring and protecting the land and the house. The 100 hectares of land and its wildlife are under legal protection no hunting of any kind.
The chateau is situated in Dole. Our historic town is very lively with markets, restaurants, and shopping.
Beaune, capital of the Burgundy wine country, and Dijon, from the 13th century, are bustling with great museums and medieval street restaurants. Both are classified as historical towns, only 30 minutes away.
Transportation by train TGV, from Paris to Dole direct, 2hours.
Dole direct TGV to Nice.
Airport- Charles de Gaulle Paris.
From Geneva airport, we are 2 hrs. away by car.
Tavaux is our airport next door, it has departures with direct flights to Greece or Portugal, or Marocco.
